Our Story

Surf & Flow was founded in 2023 by Youssef and Erika.

Youssef grew up in Mirleft, while Erika later moved to the village. Our story came together around a small beach hut by the ocean known simply as The Cave.

The Cave wasn't a business or a planned meeting place. It was simply where locals and travellers gathered after surfing to share meals, stories and long afternoons by the sea. Over time, it became a place that brought people together naturally.

When The Cave was no longer there, we realised that what made it special had never been the hut itself. It was the people around it. Surf & Flow grew from the idea of carrying that same atmosphere forward through surfing and the experiences we now share with our guests.

Life in Mirleft

Mirleft is still a working fishing village where surfing in Mirleft has remained closely connected to everyday life. Fishing boats leave before sunrise, the beaches are rarely crowded, and visitors quickly become part of the village rather than simply passing through.

Growing up here, Youssef learned this coastline long before surf forecasts and guidebooks. Today, we share that local knowledge through our surf lessons, retreats and experiences, introducing guests to the people, places and waves that have shaped our lives.
