the surf
Surf is the foundation of each retreat. Sessions are guided by local knowledge, real-time conditions, and small groups, allowing progression to develop gradually over the week. Rather than focusing on single sessions, the emphasis is on continuity — building awareness, confidence, and connection to the ocean over time.
Surf theory
Surf theory sessions happen on land and around the spot. We cover wave behaviour, positioning, safety, and reading conditions — helping you understand why things work the way they do and feel more confident once you’re in the water.
Video analysis
Video analysis adds clarity beyond time in the water. Footage is reviewed together to better understand positioning, timing, and small technical details — helping you adjust and carry clearer focus into the next session.
Photography
Surf photography quietly documents the days, preserving moments from the water and the rhythm of the week.
Yoga & recovery
Movement supports the surf days. Sessions focus on recovery, mobility, and strength, helping the body stay balanced and ready throughout the week.

RHYTHM OF THE WEEK
Surf sessions are scheduled day by day, based on the actual conditions. Swell, wind, and tides are checked continuously, and surf times are confirmed the evening before for the following day.
The rest of the day is planned around the surf sessions, keeping the focus on time in the water.

Day trips & local excursions
The exact program and balance of activities vary from retreat to retreat, depending on conditions and the specific focus of the week.

where we stay
The villa is where we stay during the retreat — a comfortable place with space to rest between sessions and spend time off the board, making it a natural base for the week in Mirleft.

Local food, shared meals
Food is simple and local — slow-cooked tagines, fresh bread, seasonal ingredients, and familiar Moroccan flavors. Shared breakfasts and dinners bring the group together and keep everyone fueled for time in the water and long days outside.

beyond waves
Some days take us beyond the surf. Local trips open up the wider context of the place — market visits, small artisan shops, quiet villages, and journeys toward the dunes for sandboarding. These moments add depth to the week and connect time in the water with the landscapes and culture of southern Morocco.
